Athens Day 19

 With the cool morning breeze, Athens woke us up with busy taxi sounds rolling down our main street. We raced a few blocks into the Plaka for our bike tour. Although the morning heated up quickly, and the hills kicked our butts on the bike, we were able to see the major sites of Athens: Temple of Zeus, on the acropolis, the Parthenon and other areas of interest. The guide was awesome! 

After the bike tour, some went back to the hotel to cool off, but Grace had a calling. She knew she wanted to buy a new guitar in Athans, and her dream came true!

That evening, we made reservations at an authentic Greek restaurant, sitting out on a patio with lights in the trees and candles on the tables. It was purely wonderful! 

Then we walked back home in the bustling streets of Plaka with the Acropolis looking over us. 

They even went to a Bolivar at the beach to see some live Salsa dancing!

An amazing first day in Athens!
