Rome Day 15

Today started a bit stressful. Google said Alitalia was at Terminal 2F, but Alitalia has now change to Ali and now at Terminal 2B! Luckily, we figured this out before we let our taxi go.  Once at the RIGHT terminal, we had a 30 minute line for security, then ran to Gate 60, then took a 30 minute tram to the airplane. Luckily, by the hair on our chins,,,we made our flight on time! We all slept for 2 hours on the plane as we arrived ROMA and 85 degree heat. BUT, Giancarlo, our taxi driver to Travestere was wonderful and our FLAT is large and excellent. The best place we have stayed, thus far. We immediately walked to into the main restaurant row and had pizza.

Then we went back to the flat and changed for a night tour of the Vatican. Our tour guide Claudia is a local of Travestere and was definitely well informed about all aspects of the Vatican Museum pieces. 9 miles of artwork and statues. AH MAN and the Sistine Chapel was last. Mary snuck pictures shhh. and I will post those as soon as she shares them with me.

Although we did not get to go into St. Peter's Basilica, we learned so much about Peter himself, but then found out our tour director was telling us Roman myths!

The girls went out to enjoy  a wonderful Italian meal, and I walked through the Travestere hills enjoying the view of Rome.

All are healthy and in great spirits. We spent most of dinner remembering all of our hotels from London Bertraya in the Bayswater, Amsterdam's hostel, Berlin's 4th floor no elevator hostel, and Paris in Les Halles. We vote  Rome to be the best!
